ABOUT THE ARCADIA TRAVELERS

 

Arcadia Travelers Club, Inc is a unique travel organization in that it is totally managed and operated by an all-volunteer group of seniors. A small group of seniors living in Arcadia had a vision and started to work on starting up a Travel Club for seniors. At this time there were no senior travel clubs in Arcadia or the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide active seniors that are 50+ with opportunities to travel, make new friends and to enhance and enrich their lives with new experiences.

 

Our club has been successfully active in Arcadia since September 24, 1982, and we will celebrate 45 years of uninterrupted operation next year in 2027. The club is a 501 (c) 7 non-profit.

 

The Board of Directors that is made up of dedicated volunteers that are responsible for organizing and planning trips, planning monthly informative meetings for our members about travel and special interests, and managing the daily operations of the Club. On Day trips the Arcadia Travelers provides a volunteer escort that is with you throughout the trip and helps make your trip a success. For extended trips that is handled by the tour company.We pride ourselves in offering trips that go above and beyond and are unique adventures for our seniors. We offer both day trips and extended trips. We select tour companies that have a proven record of service to their travelers and have Itineraries of interest to our members. Our membership also contributes suggestions for trips.

 

Signing up for trips is easy and convenient. Our office is located within the Arcadia Community Center. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm. We have a yearly membership for the calendar year of January to December, which is $10.00 for the year.
